Scone & District Community Council Members

I moved to Scone from England over 20 years ago just before my husband retired from the British Army. I have worked in the NHS all of my adult life, apart from 6 years when we lived in Germany and I worked for the MoD.

I like caravaning in the UK, no matter what the weather and going abroad for the sun!

I have lived in the area since 1987 and very much value the community I live in, having moved here from the centre of Glasgow. I have been grateful for the education provided to my 4 children by the Robert Douglas Memorial School, and for the other lifestyle benefits from living in Scone.

I work each day in Ninewells Hospital as I am associated with 3 medical charities however I would now like to try to put something back into the community which has supported my family and I for so many years, thus my to join the Community Council.

I have recently retired from 42 years teaching, have lived in Scone for 37 years while bringing up my family of two boys and am now a grandmother. My outdoor hobbies are golfing, hillwalking and caravanning in the summer with fair weather skiing, reading and craftwork during the long winter evenings.

I hope that by joining the Community Council I can help provide a better social environment for everyone.
