S&DCC asked the Council under a Freedom of Information Request (FOI) about the much mooted new Tay road crossing, this is their reply:
All hinges on the funding package so that it can be a ‘Commited’ project, giving at least 2 years for the planning etc to be in place as detailed and then 3 years construction we must be looking at 5-10 years before it would be open and provide relief for Bridgend peak traffic and the times when the Floodgates close the Queens Bridge.
